Sam Kreit DMD, DDS
Dr. Sam has been practicing dentistry for over 23 years and has dedicated his life to exceptional dentistry. He approaches every dental procedure as a work of art, and his love for art and painting, along with his appreciation for science, come together in his dental treatments like the touch of a gentle brush.
Dr. Sam has dual degrees: a DMD in 2012 from the Ivy League
University of Pennsylvania, and a DDS in 1995 from 
Damascus University in 
Syria. He worked in private practice in Damascus until 2004, when his ambition led him to 
Canada, where he studied hard before moving to Philadelphia to attend the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.
He moved to Washington, D.C. in 2012, where he was fascinated by the architectural beauty of the city and worked in a private office at Dupont Circle. He then moved to Columbus, Ohio, for a few months, but his heart finally fell in love with Houston after an educational event brought him here. He decided to move to Houston to open a solo practice.
In 2019, Dr. Sam brought his vision to life and started his own private office to serve the community and put his philosophy completely into practice. As an artist, he designed his own office and took care of every detail. His private office allows him the autonomy to do artistic work as he chooses, and he hopes that the welcoming office environment itself reflects that freedom and artistry.
Dr. Sam's passion for dentistry drives him to take advanced continuing education courses on topics such as dental implants and the latest advances in cosmetic dentistry, to provide the best dental care for his patients. One of his passions outside of dentistry is painting. He is inspired heavily by the great artists of the past and enjoys creating oil paintings on canvas while listening to the masters of classical music.

Love that they offer you coffee even while about to get your teeth done, and always have cold waters in their cute antique fridge in this HOUSTON heat! The separate room for kiddos is too cute as well!
What’s more is that the CUSTOMER SERvICE and treatment lives up to the look and prestige! Truly- some businesses overcompensate by thinking their investment in decor is enough.
Dr. Sam and his team are A+++… I believe I’d give this review even without the televisions you can relax and watch while in the chair and on the ceiling while heads up getting your grill nurtured.
Have referred so many peeps here- especially with their Saturday hours that helps for families and working parents. Additionally, I’ve cancelled on them more than once the day of (hate to say it but life gets busy)- and I assumed I’d just have to pay the copay for that day… no, they simply rescheduled with me and thanked me for being a great client.

Ps. I brought a little sweater shawl on this day because most places are extremely cold ya know. It was not cold at all in here! So I accidentally left my wrap on the couch. "I’m new to Houston and finding new Doctors can be time consuming and stressful. These days with insurances covering less and charging more, taking a chance with multiple doctors can mean $$$.
I called about 10 offices in the area looking for appointments for a cleaning and everyone was completely booked for two weeks or more.
-until I called Sam’s dental. Dr. Kreit was so patient, professional and speedy with getting me into the office ASAP.
On the day of my appointment I noticed how clean and welcoming the office was. The receptionist Jasmine (hopefully that is the correct spelling) was so kind and prompt. I waited less than ten minutes before I was taken to the back to begin my work.
The dental assistant was friendly and gentle. The young woman asked what I wanted to watch (great distraction for those who are anxious about dental work) and made sure I was super comfortable. Unsolved mysteries and dental work? Yes please!
I finally met Dr. Kreit and he was phenomenal from start to finish. The technology he used was up to date and most importantly he was very thorough in his examination.
He paid attention to things other Dentists had ignored and explained to me in detail (layman’s term’s) what I needed done and WHY. When it came time for my procedure the following week he was once again professional, well-mannered, and ALLOWED TIME for my anesthesia to kick in. Dr. Kreit and his assistant made sure I was comfortable throughout my procedure and I barely felt a thing. He explained aftercare and reiterated the importance of the advice he’d given me the week before on preventing any further issues. By far the best experience I’ve had

"I was looking for a new dentist because because I was always using one downtown and I wanted a good one closer to home. I was a little bit nervous because you never know. However, from top to bottom Dr. Sam and team are total pros. The experience began with his website where I could fill out all the papers and schedule an appointment online. Yet all of the equipment that the office has is super modern and clean. Everything designed to make the process easy earn is easy Earth and faster but at the same time thorough. Patients benefit from dental technology because procedures can be performed in a timely manner, the procedures are less painful, and more treatment options are available.
What is included in general dentistry checkups?
Dr. Sam will conduct visual inspections and evaluations of your teeth and gum health. Depending upon the results, we can further investigate with X-rays, sleep apnea treatment, tooth sealants, and minor dental procedures like cavity removal, root canals, dental crowns, and cleaning on a case-by-case basis.
Why are general dentist visits important?
It is important to maintain the health of your smile as well as your overall health. Unaddressed tooth decay or gum disease can lead to infections and other conditions that can put your entire body at risk for health issues.
How often should I visit my dentist?
A dental check-up is recommended once every four to six months, or two to three times each year. However, some patients may require more frequent check-up visits, such as patients who are going through dental implant placement or another more extensive treatment plan.

What is included in restorative dentistry?
Restorative dentistry refers to any branch of dentistry with procedures related to repairing or replacing damaged teeth and gums. These services may include such procedures as fillings, dental implants, and bridges.
What is the importance of restorative dentistry?
The primary advantage of restorative dentistry is saving and repairing teeth. The sooner you seek treatment, the more likely it is that you can preserve damaged teeth. In some cases, tooth decay is so severe that it requires extraction. However, you still require teeth to chew and digest food.
What procedures fall under periodontics?
Surgical periodontal procedures include gum graft surgery, regenerative procedures, dental crown lengthening, and periodontal pocket procedures.
What to expect after having a tooth surgically removed?
Some swelling, pain, and bleeding are usual symptoms after having teeth removed. Call your dentist immediately if you experience excessive bleeding or unbearable pain. The third day after surgery should significantly improve all symptoms, and all pain and bleeding should be gone within a week of surgery.
How long do you stay in recovery after dental surgery?
Rest is important following oral surgery and it is recommended for at least two days following the procedure. It is not recommended to engage in physical activity for two to three days after your surgery. Most patients are able to resume normal activities within 48 hours after surgery.
What should I do in a dental emergency?
